Performance

While the 2021 Genesis G80 and its larger sibling are engineered to impress you with their capabilities, they deliver different driving experiences. The G80 has a 300-horsepower, turbo I-4 engine that has the power to jet you up to 60 miles per hour in 5.7 seconds. You can also upgrade to the 375-horsepower, V6 twin-turbo engine. Both come with available all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The 2021 G90 has a faster rate of acceleration and draws 365 horsepower from a twin-turbo V6, 3.3-liter engine. The V8, the 5.0-liter alternative powertrain produces 420 horsepower.

Appearance

The stunning design language of current Genesis vehicles is on full display throughout the G80 and the G90. The sleekness of their bodies are both accented by demure accents that run down the sloped hood. They also both have chrome accents and a diamond pattern throughout the grille. The G80 is a smaller vehicle with a dual-bar headlight design. A body-colored accent piece separates these bars of light, and a striking LED beam accompanies both bars. The G80’s side air vents have this same dual-bar design. On the G90, a single LED light bar strikes through each headlight. This single-bar design is also found on the G90’s side air vents.
